This tanka is about tasting the Summer sun while relaxing.
It read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.
Well presented with excellent artwork and thanks for sharing.

I love this one! Crossing the senses is a great way to be creative with description, and fields of gold contrasted with a dry straw stem is wonderful.

This was a wonderful tanka and great dual picture of the young lady with a piece of wheat between her lips and straw hat soaking in the sun, Gypsy. Your words meant a lot to me. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

I truly enjoyed this. It reminds me of my summers on my aunt's farm, where my cousin Oggie and I would lie back in the field, and I would listen to him talk of his ideas and dreams.

This poem makes me want to lay in an open field and take in the summer heat and let all my cares leave me. I know it would be very therapeutic. Thank you for giving me that image.

    That is a wonderful interpretation by eva cassidy. Sting wrote the song in 1998. I played it many times since then. I was thinking of the song.

thought that was just a myth of something LOL!

I like you Goyohka poem - Excellent picture presentation- wish I was there myself! Poem has a good flow - dry straw stem in my mouth - nice touch! - something everyone should do in their life out in a field of wheat or flowers basking in the sun - nice job AP

From the fields of gold, I guess it is harvest time and yet the straw and the remaining sun still has the taste of summer. It's nice to soak up the warmth and the memories!

    I remember growing up in the Spanish's country side. I like lying on the field after harvest with a piece of dried draw in my mouth, I can still taste it. One day I'll tell you what my girlfriend and I did in a dry field. LoL lets say there was fire involved but not serious.

I don't think there's anything like lying on the cool, green grass under a warming sun, simply luxuriating in the natural joy that one gleans from this simple act. Beautifully written Gypsy, blessings Roy
