Bluebells in particular seem to fade quickly, they delight us for a short time and then they are gone as summer takes over from spring, a poignant write, love Dolly x

I like the alliteration and consonance in the poem. It makes me sad to think of the "fallen chick" if it died. But your notes says it was just fledging and learning to fly after falling. In either case, it's hard for the mother bird to watch.

Yes, I was trying to be dramatic. LoL. Usually the mother will keep an eye on fallen chicks but other times will not. I heard that if a baby birds fall out of the nest the mother will leave it and focus on the ones in the nest. Either way is sad. Poor baby bird.

Thank you very much, big sister. I hope you had a great day and found time to rest.

    Love you,

It's such a good idea to connect all the things in nature together, the dark cloud that is blue, blue flowers and the falling chicks. Why not the falling blue Jay?

Well done.

It has to be a baby bird, the tragedy is it fell out of the nest and left to die, you can't use a full grown bird.
