HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Well, no WONDER this placed in the True Story Contest. My gawd, this is HILARIOUS. I was entertained (and laughing loudly) from beginning to end.
I hope you have since done Rambo II and this time found success in ridding your home (and your books) of these gnawseating (like what I did there, Elizabeth?) little rodents. Wild animals, after all, belong, you know, in the WILD. And if they come inside, then YOU're allowed to go wild and eliminate them....AND their families. (with my blessing, if that matters at all...)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. It's not always easy to tell a funny story and actually make it funny! It took me a minute to get ganwseating - but I did. I'm posting another funny one today. I think people need a good laugh. Thank you for the great review.

I had a hard time figuring out how to write it. gnaw-seating wasn't right. Gnaw-se-ating wasn't any better. So, I finally just trusted that you're smart and funny enough to get it without any help...and voila! You were! (And, PHEW, because otherwise, I'd had left you thinking, "What a weirdo. Where's my Mute button for this one!"
I'll look forward to the next post.

Your story is excellent!! I raised my child alone when she was little, and that reminded me so much of her. penises of children does temper us. Personally, I would not have been able to try to kill a squirrel. I don't know what I would do if we had a squirrel in her attic. Your writing was so good that my own anxiety was rising, as I was reading.

Thank you for the excellent review. If I were honest, I'm guessing I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger :-) We lived on a farm a that time and couldn't even eliminate the rats in the barn! Had to get a couple of barn cats. I do hope it made you smile. Thanks again for the great review.
