Hi MariVal,
my Gypsy Queen.
Didn't know whether to smile-laugh, cry, or let the emotion run over me as I thought to myself... "self, it's only a matter of time and mind with a heaped-healthy serving of perspective."

A beautifully composed, constructed and presented Gogyohka poem... and the added visual application of the words drifting, 'to be washed away offshore'. It somehow comforted me as I connected to these words, as yet another smile passed my lips as I saw the notes... well, more the proverb and realised this could mean only one thing. The deep connection goes both ways.

Thank you!

With our thoughts we create...
the tools to be as fluid as water.

Kind regards,
James.

Hello, James, I always get happy when I see your name amidst my reviews. I hope you are feeling better.

Not many reviewed this poem, probably because the title is too real, but I wrote it for a close friend of mine who deals with pain every day. I believe you know him too. ;)

Anyway, I am happy you like it and I appreciate your exceptional six stars review. Thank you, James.

Ah Thich Nhat Hanh knows me so well!
I do hope your 'close friend' learns that acceptance is the first stage of greater harmony toward a better life.

    Just breathe~~~~~~~~~~~ breathe out...
We are strong enough to handle our challenges, wise enough to find a solution to our problems and capable enough to do whatever needs to be done to allow a harmonic co-existence. Hmmmmmm, I better start listening to myself?
I'm taking those super hugs, it cold here today!

acceptance is a hard one, it reminds me of an AA prayer...

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference. "

I am sending you some Los Angeles sunshine your way...

This was such a mood poem. To have the pain of life washed away. A brilliant image of the tide coming in and physically lifting the pain. Washing the sands clean. Beautiful poem and beautiful form. Gretchen

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all pain in the world would disappear? I think so. Thank you for sharing this package with us. It's beautiful from artwork to the poem.

Another fine poem, Gypsy----and cool picture at the end, reflects the pain of mental desolation very well----we're our own worst enemy--at least from the neck up!

We suffer pain in many ways in life and our attitude to it can either make it worse or make it bearable, it is always our own choice, a poignant write. Things we cannot change we have to accept, love Dolly x

That's the unfortunate thing about life on earth and living in a fallen world, we cannot avoid pain in our lives but we can wait for all of it to be washed away when we go to Heaven.
