Being that Cody lived in a warm climate he would not know how to rescue or the need to rescue a bee as I did in our colder Vermont climate it was getting loagy so I knew that it was going to be falling asleep and that wouldn't be good it would freeze for the night so I took it into the house read the directions of what to do I put it in a box for the night and it had already started moving by morning and then I put it in the sun and it shortly then flew away another lesson for Cody in the cold climates.

There was a beekeeper of note near where I live. Every year the town of Paris, IL has a honeybee festival in his honor. I like that you include a lot of information about what the bees thrived on and what would produce poor honey. Cody also learns how important bees are in the ecosystem. For a boy, Cody is pretty sharp. He is a quick learner when it comes to bee-keeping, and also thinks of the money that can be made. Very interesting. judi

This little boy is learning a lot from his experience as a bee keeper. Not a job I would relish as I have been stung a few times by bees. I pray that bees are hard at work on my daughter's apple trees as we always have a bumper crop every year, a fine informative post Brett, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

A very interesting angle on Cody. I wonder if I have missed any of these chapters? He seemed to get into Bee-keeping pretty quickly. One suggested change. poll[i](e)nate

Hope all is well in your world.

I am assuming you learned bee- keeping from your foster father and that this story is partly autobiographical? Bees are an integral component of our ecosystem and human survival depends on g her ''em more than we often realise. Well written, interesting and informative.

This is an interesting story about a very ambitious boy. Cody sounds like a good friend to have with all that honey. He also seems to realize he needs to learn a lot of things to do a good job raising bees.

Did you publish these Cody stories. I was off of Fanstory for a couple of years and I'm starting to think I missed them. I love your descriptive details. You give enough for me to see something as I read but I'm able to fill in the blanks on my own. Great installment. Gretchen

I have posted so many of my Cody books and stories on FanStory that the Contest Entry Compliance Committee permanently banned him from being entered into any Member-Created Blind or Not Blind contests because, in their own words, "Cody is too popularly well known to be entered into contests." To date, by their own verification, Cody remains the only character ever banned in this manner from FanStory contests. Glad you enjoyed this posting. Appreciate the review.
