Great job Lil' sis. I am sure that any veteran who reads this will feel a sense of grateful pride. I am one of those vets who is extra pour of my little sister's skill, compassion, love and devoted dedication.

Hey you! Thanks for the awesome review. I appreciate your cool comments and wouldn't too bad I didn't think of adding you to my list, but I might have really confused people. However, I made it up to you by just making your first place a bigger lead and a little a comment I think you will like.
Good luck with that. I can't wait to see you win that. I know. It is always nice to win so thanks again for the awesome review big brother and just so you know I am proud of you for not only serving but also for what you did to get that guy put away. I am one who stands for the National Anthem and with my hand on my heart, I get choked up and cannot make it thru without tears of pride for my country. Just too bad I don't feel the same pride for the people who are running our country right now.

A poem that tells the tale of the reality of war and how it affects families and loved ones across the generations -the couplet strikes a profound chord for the reader

How sweet and kind you are Zanya. Your kind words mean as much as these awesome six stars you gave me. I cannot thank you enough for either one. So appreciated my friend.

Dear Poet, alas, I'm out of
6 stars, so sorry. So a 6th
star from Heaven to you.
Wonderful writing here. Some
American families have
military members who've gone off to war at their
country's call. Bravely, they
go. My very best wishes and
warmest regards.

A beautiful poem to honor family members who were willing to give their lives for our freedoms. I am thankful that there are such courageous and dedicated Americans to protect me.
Best of luck in the contest.

I seldom give six stars, but your words ring so loud and they hurt, while at the same time, they force us to stand and pay huge respect to the guardians of our freedom, which we sometimes take for granted.
Loved it. I'm voting right now for you!!!

I honor and salute to all veterans. They fought the war because they were told to do so.

We never won any wars. All we have is a wall in DC with the names of our heroes. Does it worth it?

Now all moneys go to Ukraine. Is it worthy it?

Thanks for sharing

Hi Chan! I thank you with all my heart for this kind review & words for my war poem and my loved ones who fought.,
    .
I agree that war is horrible, but some had to be fought. World war two had to be fought or hitter would have taken over. Vietnam was A complete farce and a sham. The Wall is filled with too many of my friends and its apalling, but its not the men's fault so l stay faithful to the flag. Thanks again Dean friend.

This is a proud, patriotic rhyming poem to honor your family who served. You did a great job with this.

It's unfortunate that there seems to be a war for every generation.

Thank you for sharing your family's proud service.

I'm not a great fan of war, but sometimes it's necessary, WW2 Is a prime example, but while this present regime in both China and Russia exist there are going to be tensions and ructions, but that's not the fault of the young soldiers who not only risk their lives but some lose them. This is a wonderful poem pointing out the brave efforts of these young people. Great writing. Smooth narrative, and good rhyming, well done, blessings Roy

I read this for the contest and voted for it. If I had a sixth star left I would give it to you. Writing about a family which has sent so many to war is a wonderful sign of patriotism and honor.

Hi author, your poem is penned with heartfelt sentiments. The Vet gives his all and gets very little thanks. Although the world moves so quickly, one thing never changes, there is never a shortage of wars. Will Man ever learn?

Your poem reads and flows well, and your message is clear. I like how you turned back the hands of time and illustrated the various wars.

Of special note:
My dad had joined the Navy when he was just fifteen years
To help his widowed mother make it through her sweat and tears

(My dad too. They have so much in common.)

Well chosen photo. Good rhyming. Well done. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer
