Sunny did a great job with the story. I'm so glad he got to keep his job after just a small gaffe. It sounds like he has lots of friends. Thank you for the update on Ada and Bear. Great job with the story from Sunny's perspective. Yeah, those dogs understand more than they let on...

Hello Wendy,
Thanks for sharing about the adventures of Sunny. Sounds like he ran into a bit of trouble, I'm glad that it didn't cause any unwanted problem. I would think that there would be a shortage of dogs and owners who want to comfort others. I was in Home Depot today and two different people had their dogs there that I could pet. One was a poodle, and the other was an Australian Shepard I believe, with the most stunning coat I'd ever seen. I love it when folks bring their dogs in, it lets me get a little time loving on them.
Have a blessed day gal.

Thank you very much Tom. Today he went to the Day Program for disabled young people. It's their favourite day of the week (for clients and staff) when the dogs come (five today - two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Blondie, Ruby (the greyhound), and Sunny. They all did a wonderful job. Thanks so much for your very positive review!

Thank you for sharing Sunny's adventures with us as a club entry. I had a yellow Labrador, Codi who looked a lot like Blonde. Codi weighed 85 pounds, but was 85 pounds of nothing but love. I really do miss her. Give Sunny a hug for me.

I love the story of how you spent your day at the hospital, Sunny. You have a very interesting life. I am wondering, though, how you were able to sneak that one line: " I am so GLAD I didn't lose my job! Even Mama has never had business cards! Of course, she was only a teacher." past your Mama. Was the delete key not working?

I always enjoy your Sunny tales. I enjoy most stories told through the mind of a dog. They are always humorous, fun and note worthy.
Nicely written, Sunny. Make sure to tell Wendy I said hello. Be a good boy...

What a cute story, and what truly terrible puns! They just seem to come with doggy territory though, don't they? It's a great way of making people aware of some of the volunteer work that is being done for our old and sick. Hopefully some more will be inspired to follow. All the best, Julie x

Yes, the puns are awful but that?s exactly why they appeal to Sunny! (I tried to warn him, but he said this was HIS news! Very cheeky.) Thanks so much for this fun review. I appreciate it.

I have always wondered how dogs cope with the vast differences in size between breeds and yet still manage to recognise each other as part of the genus dog and often manage to happily coexist and even breed in some cases.
This was a charming story and I am so glad Sunny didn't lose his job.

Yes, it is quite beautiful and moving to see all the different shapes and sizes lying down together afterwards. They are selected largely on personality, being able to keep focus on their owner, and must be able to cope with other dogs in all sorts of situations, and all sorts of different stimuli without misbehaving. (He does occasionally misbehave when we meet other dogs on our walks. For some unknown reason there are a few who worry him.) Thanks so much for reviewing.

Another wonderful and uplifting read, if I may ask-at the beginning Sunny introduces you as "Mamma and Pa" not understanding (prose) very well at the moment why is it not Mamma and Pappa? I am glad Sunny did not lose the job, very well written****kahpot

Thank you Kahpot for reviewing. Very good question. To our grandchildren we are Nan and Pa, but I am Sunny?s "Mama" (mother, because I am his primary carer). So we just refer to my husband as his Pa so it?s not too confusing for the little ones, who for some reason accept that I have two names but Pa doesn?t! Lol.

Very nicely done, Sunny. And the way you approach your duties is truly, reminiscent. of other Teresa. Have you met any service dogs like her? Gee, you may not even know who she was. Any, I appreciate what you and mommy do.
