Its even harder when one is supposed to be all macho and rugged. They tell men to buck up and hide their feelings, unless they're expressing them privately to the right woman. Its okay in my opinion for a man to cry. They have the same tear ducts that I do. There must be a reason.

Yes, the process of guarding oneself against the power of hurt can be a harrowing process, last year I know God told me, my emotions weren't my master, that I was theirs. They were a gift to enjoy, not to be controlled by. (It's still difficult, but God is right) scripture tells us to give thanks in ALL things, 1Thessalonians 5: 16-18. I think you express yourself excellently with clarity, sincerity and honesty which are all too often lacking in verses that become too flowery and ornate. Your message of anguish and frustration is skilfully conveyed and there is a relatability about the verse which is also quite poignant for the reader. Thanks for sharing Debbie

I think as women we spend time supporting others and our own well being is often left until last. We must always look after our emotional health as we cannot function if we are upset. This is a poignant write and I could identify with your words here Belinda, love Dolly x
