How could I have missed this! What a wonderful, ageless, amusing story so cleverly contained in this limited word count. Love it and am not surprised you won! Only wish I could have added to the vote. Take care Debbie

Lol! That's so funny! You always get great inspiration from Norman Rockwell paintings! And your final line worked as a humorous punchline which is perfect for a fifty-word story.
Congratulations on the win!!

Hi there,

nice job with this piece. It provided a great little snapshot of a more innocent time. A well-drawn vignette. I can see how this one won.

All the best

Congratulations on your well deserved win. Your 50 word flash fiction and the Norman Rockwell painting pair perfectly, and remind me of youthful days of the past. Well done.

This fifty-word story, No Escaping, has the proper word count and takes me back to those fantastically innocent and dreamlike days of youth. So much fun to be had and so many new experiences about to happen. Neat.

Okay, THIS is a perfect dribble or close to. I struggle for less words because I make it more a poem then a real narrative. This really assists. This has a beginning middle end and twist and is funny and visual adds to it. I try not to add more for visual I feel sometimes people judge on visual more then the written words but it's too perfect. Anyways good luck glad you won well deserved yyeah!

I think this dribble was cute. I like that the story is interesting and fun. It was short and sweet with a bit of innocent to it also: because just when you think you can do something and no one sees you, bam you look up and there they are right there. The picture fits the story perfect and the title too. I love Norman Rockwell paintings. I like what the writer was alluding too. It's a great dribble.
