I LOVE your story. It covers so much of life today, whether experienced as a Buddhist monk in a rapidly changing world, or as a teacher who must be prepared and patient when questions arise. I like your caring attitude and your sense of humor which shine through in this story.

Ha! Ha! this is a wonderful read, we do not think of monks being so inquisitive, yet I guess the need for knowledge applies to all, and I get the point of all the questions being non-questions, very well written, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

You made me smile here and I wondered what was wrong with Autumn time? Then I realised Fall was invented by the Americans as the English never refer to that season as the Fall! It is fascinating that the Monks wanted to know when to tell someone to (F*** Off) as I thought they were peaceable people who could withstand anyone intolerant without getting angry. How wrong I was. Your last line made me smile, I loved the humour, a fine post for the contest, love Dolly x

Thanks for the review! They were actually very peaceful people, but they exposed themselves to western culture and wanted to know what things meant. I spent six months with them, and it was a real eye opener and learning experience for myself.
