Willow the water dragon here Sunny... just happened upon these words on the fancy book that lights up... well, the human that lives here left it on the table and walked away... seen your friendly face... and well here I am. I know where you're coming from sunny... yeah, I know i'm a water dragon and your a canine, but sometimes understanding humans, their motives, actions and reactions is a real guessing game brother.

I've got my human trained, and well, a bit wary... sometimes I nip him on the toe just to let him know who's boss. you know, so I got his attention. I don't live inside, even though I do venture in at times to see what these crazy humans are up to... the lady is nice and I don't have my own food bowl like you, but if I was there with you when that nasty movement in your bowl scared you, claws down, I would eaten that bug, or whatever it was... it moves, it's food.

Great to hear you get out and do such interesting things Sunny... ah, little humans, nah, they're likely to try and pick you up, tread on you, or worse, chase you.

Nothing against you Sunny, 'cause you sound like a swell canine, but I've been chased by you kind as well... but I've got a lake I jump into if I'm in any danger. Trouble is, the humans seem to be in the lake a lot splashing around.

My human feeds me paw-paw, banana... and when he's digging in the soil I follow him around... there's always worms and bugs around in the soil... but chicken sounds like it could be tasty... meaty bites hey, I'd give 'em a go.

So don't worry Sunny, from my experience not only Mama's, have idiosyncrasies... most humans do in my opinion.

If your ever in my neck of the woods, drop in, I'll share a meal with you... you sound like you could be a good friend Sunny.

With our thoughts we create...
creature comforts.

Kind regards,
Willow.

Totally enjoyed this story Wendy, sorry I missed the reason for Sunny to have to paw his way through this explanation.

Willow's slave,
James.

Lol. What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for the six stars. Not sure if I should address Willow or James - but thank you both for the stars. At least James left the stars all there! Yes, I do think all humans have idiosyncracies - they are somewhat hard to understand. I must apologise on behalf of other canines. I have never chased a water dragon myself, but I did have a staring competition with one once! Thank you for the kind invitation for a meal - that would be something special! Many thanks again.

So this is James, Willow's human slave and unfortunately Sunny, Willow has gone to bed and because of the cold weather has decided not to come out today, however I will pass on your wonderful reply to his review... it might actually put him in a better mood than last I spoke to him. Yes, Willow dose do that staring thing as good as any other creature... and I'm sure he thanks you greatly for the apology for the other canine's who may have chase him... I'm sure he'll be happy to find out you have never been one of those canines, Sunny.
His favorite thing to do is to run fast at his humans and watch them jump... he think it's hilarious. But Sunny, I can tell you it is not.
Thank you Wendy for helping Sunny out with this reply, so kind of you!
    kind regards,
    your friend,
    James.

This is so hilarious, The Dane and I were both roaring with laughter - it seems our dogs share a few hang-ups. I missed the first episode, but I know it all now. Poor Sunny, so misunderstood! My girl Flora is quite suspicious of me because she never knows when I'm going to spray her with deodorant, clip her nails, etc. It seems I'm always the bad guy. However all is forgiven if I take her for a drive. LOL! Julie

Oh thank you so much! Sunny is super thrilled. He said to tell you that he is the same - lavender spray is a horrid imposition on his dogginess. And yes, a drive is a wonderful healer for all those emotions. Thank you so much for the six stars. That's wonderful! I am glad you enjoyed his story.

Oh, Sunny, I am so happy you published your side of the story. It all makes sense for your POV. Your Mama love you and tells us so frequently. Keep up the good work socializing and teaching humans about canines. We appreciate it.

Dear Sunny,
You'll be happy to know I missed your Mama's earlier post, so there's no need for you to feel embarrassed. I did read your post with interest especially the line 'most countries need more cultural bridges.' You are a wise dog indeed, Sunny, and I agree wholeheartedly.

If I were to find something moving in my food, I too would be leery. I find your wariness understandable. It's good to know writing helps dogs to feel better as well. Thank you for sharing, and I look forward to your next post.

This was a really funny other the side of the story to go along with the cute story you wrote earlier. This pup is precious so how you humiliate him so. He has right to present his side of the story and he did and amazing job of justifying his position. I may be assuming Sonny is a male dog. Please correct if I'm wrong..

Yes, Sunny is a male dog. When we got him, his name was "Crank", which did not suit him at all. Thank you for a super review and also for the gift of six lovely stars. Lovely to wake up this morning to see them.

Oh my goodness....I just finished reading your first Sunny writing and came across this one a few minutes ago... Hysterical... oh gosh poor Sunny, a beetle ...maybe... moving in his food...Yikes...
And, I love that Sunny is annoyed with you because he spends all day looking after you..so what is the big deal that he has to go out once in a while...
Hysterical read...

Thank you so much for the review, and I am so glad you enjoyed this story too. Perhaps it was a moth. I have no idea, but something has spooked him, and he refuses any bowl or plate, and would prefer to go hungry! So it means he can't have a casserole dinner, or anything with gravy, only meat-ball type food or sausage, direct onto "his" placemat. He gets strange notions every so often ... Still lovable! He has a fun personality and will never be boring.

Dear Sunny,
Thank you for sharing your side of the story! I can understand how it is when your human only gives their side. But I know you're a hero to the kids and the people in the nursing homes. You do a lot of good so keep using your gifts as you form a bridge just like your Mama does.
Your kitty friend,
Patch

Thank you Patch. You are always so kind. I hope you have settled into your new surroundings. I?m sorry you didn?t enjoy the trip to get there. Just wait till your mama gets a new house - you will love it!

Sunny, you are so cute and adorable and I understand every thing you did.

Your stories written about Sunny are entertaining and realistic, and are worded the way a dog might actually talk. I did not read the previous story about Sunny, and will have to go back and read it. These stories are delightful, relaxing and peaceful.

Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed it. Stories which are just "nice" even if a bit ordinary are welcome in a world filled with violence and distress. Thank you again.

I love it, Sunny. Thank you for telling your side of the story, and I am sure that your Mama loves you very much and after reading this, she probably loves you even more. Wendy, have you ever considered putting Sunny's stories into a children's book?

Thank you so much Anne. The thought has crossed my mind, but I am working on the Australian biographies first, so it will probably be towards the end of the year or early next year before I can get going on collecting and sorting my dog stories. I am glad and honoured that you think this would be possible.

You are welcome, Wendy. I don't know how you get time to write so much. You must be very disciplined in your writing time.

Favorite line was when Sunny said he was disappointed that youtold about the bathroom. I couldn't help but spit out my water. This was a fun different point of view. Thanks for making me laugh. Gretchen
