This is a well-rhymed poem that speaks of true despair. It did find it all a bit depressing I'll admit and rather on the long side but it reads well throughout. I also think that 'aweary' is a bit arcane so why did you not just use wearily to rhyme with drearily in the first stanza. Having said that this is well written so good luck with it in the contest.

This group of rhyming couplets show a deeply depressed or grieving person lost in pain searching for a way out. And finding that way out with the spark of faith. This poem goes well with the Biblical verse in the artwork for it describes any prophet's life and also Job's life.
