Very nice poem and an appealing theme. Those flutters are indeed a joyful and maternal experience hard to describe and hard for others to appreciate. Well written. Best wishes for your entry.

You have chosen an appropriate picture.

Men can never feel what you are feeling during pregnancy.

Only women can feel the bond between the baby and themselvesã??

Thank you for sharing such a poem full of love.

Excellent haiku entry for the 5-7-5 Love Poem writing prompt contest.

I love the meaning of motherhood.

I like the presentation too. Concrete images are easy to visualize. Good syllables count.

Good luck in the contest.

Who can forget that first flutter? The beginning of a love so strong and so tender that only a mother can know as she cradles new life in her womb. What a lovely love poem this is.

Yes, I have to agree with this. And trying to explain it to anyone who hasn't experienced it is like trying to describe a color to someone without sight. I love the originality of this that you made flow in just seventeen syllables. And the photo you chose? The perfect cherry on top. Good luck in the contest with this! I can't help but imagine it will be a fan favorite.

This poem is very striking and powerful because it defines the core essence of motherhood. I agree...carrying and nourishing a baby in your womb creates a bonding that men sometimes don't understand. Beautifully and poetically put.

This is a great 5/7/5 contest entry. The whole process of childbirth is fantastic and has helped solidify my desire to never be a woman. God Bless you all for bearing children.

You're right about men not understanding how a woman feels about the live inside her. I like this poem and the artwork you chose to go with it. I wish you the best in the contest.
