This essay, Song of Love, is a neat zoological look at the love song as it pertains to the animals -- particularly the gibbons. The ability of scientists to distinguish differences in groups through these sounds is amazing.

Again, I can see why you are the number one author, Wendy. This is quite a story. I never fail to learn something when reading your prose pieces. I think I have a good singing voice. My wife disagrees.

Lol. So she doesn't want you to sing for her every day. Ah well, just keep her happy. I am glad you enjoyed this story - I think the gibbons are really quite special. Thank you so much for the six stars - that makes me very happy too.

Well, that sounds simpler, cheaper, and more effective than the way a lot of humans pick their mate - and probably longer lasting!
Thanks for this interesting look at the Gibbon:-)

Thanks so much Pam. It seems to work for them. I'd probably stay with a guy who sang for me each day too. Lol.

Fascinating. Seems that our primate cousins still do some things better than us. That's very romantic that they have unique songs they sing to one another. Thanks for the informative read!

Ist it funny? A lot of earth's creatures have certain mating dances and singing to attract a mate, the grasshopper and the cricket click their legs by rubbing them together, birds like peacocks, beautifully written Wendy, blessings Roy
