Congrats on #2 position. I thought yours was the best of course. No accounting for taste! haha Sometimes folks don't like funny. Well, I do. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. Karen

That ending had me curled up laughing! The whole story was funny, and you get it going so well. I think the ending was absolutely perfect. I see you're winning, so it's not just me. Well done and good luck! xx

Your metre started off well but you lost your way by the last stanza and the word (tipsy) does not rhyme with (twist) and (exist). May be this would fit: (Remember to show her your fist).

Having said all that I was entertained Peter, loved this Limerick stack and I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x

Thanks for the review. It's a play on the last word, which is really "pissed". In the authors comment I said I couldn't think of a word to rhythm, which is a bit of a clue...

Third stanza, last line, 'And'. Last line of last limerick, what about 'something amiss'? 'I think that there's something amiss'? Oh no, I get it. You mean pissed! Lol. That's funny. Good luck in the competition.

    I do indeed mean "pissed".
If you ever saw the 1970's UK TV series "Up Pompeii" with Frankie Howard, you'll know what I was doing. There are some youtube clips - search odes up pompeii

Humorous, nonsensical limerick - just as they should be!
And the crazy pic compliments the first verse perfectly. I wish you all. the best in the contest.
