It seems they need to be reminded every day. Then there's be no excuse for forgetting. My cats use having no thumbs to get out any chores. Animals! We love 'em.

This looks like a no-win situation for the human. The dogs will pretend not to understand and just give puppy dog looks to get out of any trouble.
Great meeting and the dialogue seems realistic if the dogs had a voice.
Excellent response to the prompt.

Thanks for sharing your cute little dog story. There are so many great pet stories to laugh about; especially, for those like you and I who don't have dogs. We've chosen not to clean up poo, wipe butts, or walk when we'd rather be lounging in the La-Z-Boy. Well, except when the neighbor's pooper wanders into our yard and we get it on our shoes. :-)

You're as funny as you say the dogs are, Rox. I love that I can see the angelic halo over Indy's head when he says, "I have no memory of this conversation taking place." I can actually see dogs having a conversation like this and, as a pet owner myself, I can confirm that we can definitely read our pets' expressions. This seems like a perfect club entry for the subject.

You're welcome. I had a dog growing up, but I married a cat person, and have since become a car person myself.

Hit there Rox...

I enjoy stories which contain animals., especially dogs who simply tug at my heart.

You provided us with a nice simple doggie story for the challenge.

I'm not surprised they had no recollection of said discussion of where to "poop".

Thanks for sharing.
John

He he, I totally understand why they don't understand a word you're saying. All they know is that they have to do their thingme outside. They gave my sympathy.
I have a dog and a cat. There's only so much the can understand. Bless them. Ulla:)))

I love when you are talking to a dog and he cocks his head to the side as if trying very hard to understand. Thanks so much Ulla.

That is so funny, Rox! I can just picture the dogs looking so innocent. This is a great entry for the Family Meeting event, I loved it. Now, cats, they are much cleaner! Lol.
It's lovely to see you posting again, how are you feeling now? You weren't too good last time we 'spoke'. I hope you are well over it and fit again. Love and hugs, dear friend. Sandra xxx

Nice one, these dogs are suffering for the syndrome "if it was last week, I don't remember, aka I don't care." Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

    Thanks so much. No dogs usually don't care what you tell them to do. =}

A lovely, heart-warming story, Roxanna, and don't we need more of those with all this gloom and doom around. I think the dialogue is very funny and sums up the character of dogs pretty accurately. Well done! Debbie

As a child in Connecticut (now in Florida) there was a dog named Daisy that would stop at our door each day and we would give her a treat. She was well-behaved and never dirtied our lawn. I love tht name "Animal Crackers" as it brings back memories of the Marx Bros.

That sounds just like something the Daisy Dog I know would do if she could get out. Thanks so much.
