Not sure how I missed this. I try not to miss many of your postings when I'm around. In any case, a very impressive entry for the contest, and congrats on the result :) Cheers, Craig

I love a good rainstorm, as long as I am inside and dry. Excellent personification of the thunder as it claps for the dancers, very loud applause indeed for the dancing lightning performing the light show.
Best of luck in the contest.

Oooo, I do love this one, Wendy. The play on words and 'lightning's flash dance moves'. And your final line is brilliant as well. Thank you for sharing and best wishes in the contest.

I like the personification of the thunder and lightening in this poem. I love thunderstorms although I remember being afraid of them when was really young. Later I loved sitting on a porch swing and enjoying the display. Now I don't get full display because of too many trees, but sill love the sound of thunder.

Hello Wendy,
this is quite a picture that you display with your words, and I love the picture that accompanies this poem as well. Nature dancing, what a great thought. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Have a blessed day.

The author's words are engaging, descriptive and creative. I like the way
this author combined lightning and thunder with dance moves. The next
time thunder scares me I will think of this poem! The artwork is perfect
and compliments these words well. Great Poem!

A wonderful example of a
5-7-5 verse, well done!

I love the strong visuals you present with words like...
clasp, applause and dance. Everything is moving.

This is a strong contest entry that I hope will do well.

I loved your poem and I am never afraid of thunder. It is the Angel's tenpin bowling. Lightning is another thing. It is dangerous and has caused much damage, and killed cattle and humans. For me, storms represent the mighty power of our God. K xx

I don't mind storms, but I dislike strong winds. Although two o;d ladies were struck by lightning a couple of years ago while they wee trying to find shelter. Both died.
I am glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks for reviewing.

Excellent poetry and beautifully illustrated. I hope it wins. I've been buried, trying to finalize putting together my book of my favorite poem from nine of my books, and it turned out to be a huge task. I just sent it to my editor tonight!

I have a hard time reviewing these shorties, Wendy. That second line is a really good one. Based on that one line, I think you should do very well in the contest.
