Hahaha .... I'm with you, I love men with long hair, although the actor who is my latest crush, is from Chile and has short hair....very nice hair.

Crushes are one thing but in true life your husband is a keeper.

Well done. I like the humor too.

Aargh! Nearly sixty and starting to thin on top. I feel for your lovely man. This is a heartfelt and charmingly written piece, full of love and affection. Well done and good luck in the competition.

He started going bald when he was 18! Now he shaves his head because it looks better.
    Thanks for reading. Much appreciated.

Rhyme or not you obviously had some fun with this poem for the contest, Heather. My son had long hair till his early 40's then went to a buzz cut. I always imagine him with a long grey pony tail. But no more. A fun read, Heather.
cheers,
valda

Wow, I haven't had long hair in many years. How about kindness and a decent smile? What a wonderfully written poem.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

I was just kidding, Mike. It's true that I like long hair, but my husbands started going bald when he was 18 and he's a great guy. Always kind to everybody.
    Thanks for reading.

Hey, Heather! I was trying to catch up on giving return reviews and look what I found. This latest poem needs just one more review to bounce into "recognized" status! Ta-da! Like magic, I was drawn here! Lucky thing too because I want to share that although the men in my family have thick manes of chestnut hair, I have always been attracted to bald men! (go figure, right?) Hence, I find this free verse (non rhyming!) poem super fun to read! My son is 43 and that hairline is beginning to recede ("Thanks mom", he snarls, "for picking dad!" LOL. You know what they say-- Bald men are always brilliant because "grass never grows on a busy street!"

Have a wonderful week!

Karenina

Good luck wishes regarding the contest entry, Heather. What a wonderful picture-the tall red headed woman and the balding gentleman. I can't believe that you put such stipulations in your poem. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n Hugs!!!

The people in the picture and the girl are actually my husband and my daughter. She's beautiful, but she's not tall at all. She's even a bit shorter than me (probably because of the chemo she had as a little girl.
And well, my requirements are just a bit of fun. I like looking at men with long hair, but my husband is the best ever.x

My wife liked long hair, too. During our marriage, i even had it in a pony tail at one time. Please don't tell my Pastor! Anyway, long or short, she was my answered prayer, as I believe your husband is yours. You are very fortunate!

Awww this is so sweet. A pleasant read with many stories to tell
I will say I found this
"However, I have to say, he started going bald when he was eighteen which worries my two sons quite a bit. My eldest is thirty-three and still has most of his hair."
quite funny.
I am currently in that situation. Not balding, given I am still relatively young, but fearful of this balding. I often look in the mirror picturing myself bald (which is also really easy with so many filters these days on phone cameras) and it doesn't help I've scarred my head in the past. Covered now by hair. So there's that.
A wonderful, delightful share. And all the best in your contest!

    Hi,
    Thanks for sharing your story.
My youngest son is only 19, but his hair is extremely short so it makes me wonder why he's afraid of going bald...
    Have a lovely day.
