This is an interesting story. I am wondering how horrible this person must have been for somebody really wants to kill him. He must be really bad. I enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing this story with us.

I wrote this story from a prompt using the first sentence. They had over two hundred entries. Mine did not win. But, I edited it a bit, which I learned here, and posted. hanks for reading it.

An interesting story. Your imagination is intriguing. I always enjoy reading something interesting and this caught my attention. You do have a talent for short storytelling. I can see images and the story as I read along. Good job! :)
Sincerely,
Shana :)

Short and sweet is my bailiwick. I am learning to do poetry. There are so many types. And, I have tried a 4 part Chapterbook "Rules and Regulations on Planet DMK. But folk are staying away like they owe me money. It is not hard sci-fi, so I don't understand why my friends aren't even trying chapter 1. whine whine whine. Thanks for the read and nice words. Karen

I wish I had a six for this one, Karen, it's fabulous! I love the way the ending was such a surprise, he actually enjoyed killing Harold so much, he's already planning another! Love it!
I'm going on holiday this Friday for two weeks, then when I come home I have two hospital appointments which I'm not looking forward to. After that, depending on the outcome, I'll be reading those titles you asked me to have a look at. If this is an example of your writing, I know I'll enjoy reading them. Well done, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

We 're going on a cruise around the Canary Islands. I'm looking forward to it so much. I've posted the last chapter in Part One of my story. I'll be starting Part Two when I come home, hopefully. My body has taken a hammering this year, ever since I was rushed into hospital with Sepsis and a asthma attack. Since then it's been down hill all the way. 😭😭🥰
-
My ex had sepsis it was awful. You have my best wishes. I hope the docs have good tidings for you. It hasn't been my experience much. we are a pretty decrepit bunch here.
I will pray to the universe for you. and I wish you a trouble- free trip. Karen

A twisted tale, I think when pushed we all have a bit of mad dog in us, very descriptive words in this story that keeps the interest wonderfully, arrogance of someone can really set the dog loose in others, very well written****kahpot

This is a good short murder story. The mayor needed to die in the minds of two men but only one was well enough to do him in. You have only one problem sentence. Darrel has stuck to third person through the whole story until the Totally irredeemable (in Darrel's opinion.)

Karen,
This is a brilliantly written short mystery about the potential evil in all of us. Going north as a metaphor for crossing the line in the sand and committing violence against another human being is vividly conveyed in this masterfully crafted write. This would have been a 1st place winner in a flash fiction contest.
All the best,
Eugene

Very intriguing premise. You gave us enough detail to keep me following along, yet you didn't grab me by the nose and drag me along. I really liked your narrative here. Great piece of writing, Karen. Gretchen

Well, can you believe it, I finally have a six when you post something. You sure painted some vivid pictures and you didn't have to share all the blood and gore to do it. Besides the bloody knife in hand from barbecuing. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you thank you sweetie pie. What would you like me to read of yours. I have a one for one policy. Got anything needing a point? Karen
-
I don't keep up with all those kinds of things dear. I just read what I'm interested in. And I certainly don't want you just going back to read for the sake of reading. But you're sweet that way.
-
I believe that reading should be equal. I like big points as much as anyone because I am still a baby here and contests and and ribbons and stars still thrill me. you have won so many damn things they no longer give you a woody. They still thrill me. But, I have noticed that I have aqured more stuff and risen higher in a short time than most everyone.
This all gives me courage and belief in myself, and if you knew all the bad crap I have been through, you would know these feelings are hard won. whine whine whine. having you as a friend is a highlight, and you being one of the best writers here, makes you easy to read. GWHARGIS is good too. Do you like her work? Karen
-
You have been accepted quicker than most on this site. Part is your wit and writing, the other part is you have a kind and honestly open personality. The type of person, people like to be friends with. You should never doubt yourself for a minute, because, you have the goods girl. But never forget, we all go through the doubtful times. I appreciate your kind words, but I certainly don't think of myself as in the upper echelon of writers on this site. There are some very talented people here. I'm just an old boy having fun with his foolishness. To answer your question about GWHARGIS. She is one of my favorite writers. A nice, down to earth and witty person who has story. She is someone, like you, who I think I'd like in the real world. And her writing is outstanding!
-
She told me of someone named Sandra Mutchell. I have never seen her on here. Have you read her? Thank you for all the wonderful things you say about me. Coming from someone whose writing I admire so much, it means an awful lot.( I can suck up with the best of them)! In the south we are raised to be self effacing to a certain extent, but we are allowed to be a little proud. I am friends with some very different kind of people. I can speak just about everyone's language. When I go back to my storage units I will look for my photo books and see if I have a recent ( before my "Fireplug" days) picture where you can see how cute I was and secretly lust after me! hahaha I could clean up good! I feel like Sally Field on oscar night"You like me, You really like me," haha Karen

Sandra Mitchell is an outstanding writer who posts a new chapter once a week. I read everything she posts. She is a sweetheart and one of my favorite people on this site. Check her out, you'll be glad you did. I can't imagine me doing much lusting over anyone at this stage in life. A kind smile and enjoyable conversation mean more to me than a cute, hot bodied, sex pot. LOL. Of course, none of us look like we once did. I recently ran into a women I'd know in my younger days. She had once said that I was a little girl's unobtainable dream. At the time, I considered it a compliment. But now, I realize she was smart. LOL. But luckily, I've become better person as I've learned and grown. It all takes me back to that old saying, "Pretty is as pretty does." I always like before and after pictures, so I'll be waiting to see who I'm talking to so much. :-) Have a wonderful week!
-
I love her. She is one of my faves. I told Gretchen that Sandra, me, her, you and terry and jay should put out an anthology of three stories each. What do youthink? Just asking. Karen
-
LOL. Well, that sounds nice, but it would take me a year or so to write three stories. You all could have written four anthologies before I'd be ready for the first. :-)
-
You could use some you already wrote silly. And I am just planting a seed here, a thought. Something to think about. Karen
-
Yes, I'm just teasing you, which I'm sure you know.
