There are outside cats and inside cats. If you get an outside cat, that is where they will always live. Just like a cat that has not lived anywhere but inside will not adapt to the outdoors. They are not like dogs, they do not like to go in and out. Karen

Thank you for the informative review. My cat is a Maine Coon and though he is quite feral,he is much like a dog. He has learned to come in at a decent hour. I used to be searching for him at midnight. After 5 years, we've gotten in somenice routines. He even runs ahead of me when I'm slogging (slow jog)
lays in the road (dirt) tilI get there...lol

This is and excellent well written story. It's easy to follow and it will reach readers through authentic feelings that many people have a out their pets and even their mothers for that matter. I enjoyed reading and your imagery brought your story alive.

Best wishes!

This is beautifully written and a joy to read, Liz! I must admit I was very tense when Scruffy didn't come back but relieved by the end, so well done for your cleverly crafted prose here. I like the way you manage the soul-searching and the loss of self-belief which then has to be challenged with great success. Once again you use animals to draw out that sense of purpose, self-esteem and faith. All nicely done in a very readable chapter. I look forward to reading more. Debbie

This rings so true as to how a new pet, especially a cat, can disrupt our lives, while aft the same time reveals something about our own true nature. Your sequence of events flowed well as did the MC's reactions to the events. Loren

This was a great continuation chapter, Liz. It contained all of the trials and tribulations that being introduced to a new cat. I recently got a new Snowy after Tabitha had died of old age, she was almost 18. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n Hugs!!!

Thank you for poignant review. I'm sad for your loss. I feel like he was my familiar. He helps me with Sammy. I ask Scruffles to help me with Sammy all of the time. He helps.

This is a very interesting story that you have written about fluffy the cat. I enjoyed it very much, and held my interest all the way through as I listening to it. May you have a blessed day. God bless. Patricia.

Yay!! Scruffy came back! And you learned a lot about yourself in the process. No one would blame you considering how Scruffy panicked and kept you up. But when the harsh comments of your grandmother haunted you, you decided not to let that kind of judgment affect you. You conquered that harsh judgment born out of guilt and was rewarded by Scruffy's return.

were certain more's, (mores) I guess you could use the accent to make it clearer: morés

Thank you for your supportive review. I looked for an accent mark but couldn't find one. Probably better to have nothing.

If you used the Advanced Editor, in the icons at the top, there is a button that looks like an Omega. Click on that, and you'll be able to select the e-aigu

Thank you, at first I thought the omega were headphones...lol...good information from you once again...thank you, Helen

    Lol. That's so funny!
I don't get some graphics either. I saw the Chick-fil-A symbol and thought it was a foot with toes instead of a cock's comb. Lol.

This is a very cute and well written story about the scruffy cat. I am so glad he showed back up and you were able to get him back into your place. We have cats and I have always had cats most of my life. They are special, but some are more stubborn than others. Please check out this one thing:

I am not sure why the 7 is in front of your sentence. If you are like me, I happen to hit wrong keys at times. Thanks for sharing this delightful story. love and blessings, Teri

This is an interesting story. I was really surprised Scruffy came back. His previous home must have been much worse than getting kicked out during the night. Your Alanon friends were right. It is a good thing you believed and set out more food for him.

I'm really surprised that a street cat actually returned. A Maine Coon cat is really big animal and I imagine he could eat several cans of tuna. Cats are fund of be taken to new places. I'm wondering how he will work out.
