Wow, great story with a killer twist ending. I have never heard of that happening before. Well told. Very entertaining and delightful read. Good luck in the contest.

Oh gosh, I actually saw that coming. You most be a smoking hottie if random dudes plant kisses on your lips. Or a really good tour guide. Ha! Just playing.

Good luck in the competition.

Hi LisaMay...like you...that would have
been a good thing know...having someone
sitting and watching your lips could be
a bit disturbing...

I love your story told my sweet friend...
I'm sure there was quiet sigh when he told
you...but...
very well written...and the perfect picture...
love you...Linda xxoo

Aww I was a special educator for decades and I feel bad for the man, but it was not your fault. Probably, people who train your guides (do. they?) should include such things.

This was an excellent and well written, thought provoking story.

Best wishes!

Alexandra

Yes, I agree. That would have made me very uncomfortable. We like our personal space and there is a reason why it should be respected. This did, however, make for a good subject for your flash. Well written.

Really! I can understand how he must have frightened you. I agree with you he should have let you know about his
handicap. Tours should have descriptive brochures telling all of the interesting facts and features. Well done. Nancy:)

Lovely build-up to the excellent and amusing twist at the end. Well done. A great entry in the contest. Truth is so often stranger than fiction. Good luck with this.

This is a well written story that I quite understand having taught with lip readers in my class on more than one occasion. They had to stop me moving about as I explained things as they could not see my lips when I did. You are right though as it can be a bit disconcerting when you don;t know why you are being stared at.
Good luck in the contest

I love this story. It is charming and interesting. He made you uncomfortable here by constantly moving toward you and staring at your lips. You showed patience and class by not calling him out. Then, to find out why his "aggression" was a surprise.
But I put it all on him; he should have let you know at the beginning of the tour, knowing this you would have made the tour even more enjoyable for him.
Good luck in the contest.

Now I see why your title is "Paying Attention"! That is so awkward. He not only had a hearing disability, he apparently needs glasses that he needed to get that close to you! Best wishes in the contest!
