You've embraced every moment of life, Sarah. The thought of you joyfully playing the ukelele and singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow is enough to warm this old gal's heart. I love the "ukelele: version. I listen to it almost every night before I go to sleep...

Hi Sarah! I've finally gotten a chance to look into your work.
I love Iz! He's one of my favorite artists, and my favorite song of his is the one you chose to learn on a ukulele. I love the way you aren't afraid to try new things. Never stop learning!

One day I'd love to learn to play Bridge so I can play with you.

Hugs,
Rhonda

Hi Sara, after I heard about your lunch yesterday with our mutual friends, I told Terry that I had to come over and read and review one of your latest. And what a delight this was.

I used to play a little guitar when I was a teen, but then quit. A few years back when we were in Branson, we bought a Dulcimer and I picked up playing again. Even wrote a few of my own songs, so I know what a thrill it has to be for you to make a dream of music come true.

This was also well written and I am so happy that you are making music with your friends. After all it sounds like where ever you are, you are right at home. And after all, we both know, there's no place like home!!

Awesome story, Sarah!!

Thank you Debi for your special review! I played piano for years. I am in a condo now with no room for my baby grand. To have the ukulele has satisfied my thrill of making music! We did move a lot with my husband?s job. I found a saying, "Bloom where you are planted". It became my motto. I enjoyed every place we lived. I would love to meet you. Again, thanks.

Good for you!
Nicely written post.
Did you know how to play the guitar before taking up the ukulele?
Great songs, all, that you mentioned.
Best wishes.

Thank you Wayne for your nice review. I played piano for many years. I had a grand piano, which was too big for a condo. I donated it to the Lutheran church in Port Charlotte, Florida when I moved here.. The ukulele gives me a lot of pleasure.

I am impressed by people who are willing to try new things and to extend their hobbies in new directions. Way to Go!!!! There are many songs from my youth that still mean a lot to me today. I have NO ability to sing, but I love to listen. And everyone needs an audience!!! lol Wasn't it Milton that said, 'They also serve who only stand and wait."? My late husband played the guitar. I bought him a banjo as well, but that was never his instrument of choice.

Good music reminds me that I have found the gold at the end of the rainbow. Life is good. Thanks so much for this delightful and fun piece to read. ann

Thank you Ann for your gracious review. I only got my ukulele a few months ago, and I am not very good. But I am having fun with it. I have also found the gold at the end of the rainbow and lots of other things, too. I am looking forward to meeting you in person!

This is a delightful and inspiring story. You are fortunate to have experienced music from around the world.

My mother talked of learning to play the ukulele, but since she didn't own one, I never got to hear her play.

I enjoyed your consistent reference to Over the Rainbow throughout your story. I could almost hear you playing it. Thanks for sharing.

What a great experience! I love that version of Over the Rainbow by Israel, it's really touching, and it's great you can follow on and learn too. I play the classical guitar which is quite different but I really do also love many other kinds of music. Thanks for sharing.

I'm music oriented and so loved this post. My mother's all-time favorite song was Somewhere Over the Rainbow from the Wizard of Oz, but she loved other renditios of it too. I'm delighted you're happy in Texas and still root for your home team with Rocky Top!

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

Forgive me if I have already responded to you. My power went out while I was writing. I can't find the note now. Thank you ever so much for the wonderful review. Just know that I truly appreciate you and it is great to have you as a friend. Sarah

Sarah, you get six stars because you mention Iz. His music is a favorite of mine. He had six albums before he died at a young age. I learned to play the guitar at 60, and it's very cool you are learning the ukulele! Terry.
