Yes, it likely was, but despite Jimminy saying dreams come true, it went rogue and became a story, with a dash and sprinkling of rhyming. Thanks Wayne. Nice to hear from you once more.

I enjoyed this very much. One typo to correct (a small one!)-In Paragraph 2, "Being The Sleuth" does not need a comma after it.
As for the final line, I believe it is: "So we drift on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly to the past."

This is Tom at his best with a story told with humor, fantasy, and a great story with some very real human characteristics - less smoothness and more clumsiness.
