Politics and political motivations suck. The slant never shows the whole picture. Sounds like most everyone supports the Sheriff so the mayor just might need to rethink his stance. Another very cool chapter. Gretchen

Hi Brett, your Cody stories are always great to read and this is no exception. It's wonderfully written.
Being adopted myself I can so identify with the sentiment of this. Ulla:)

I always enjoy you Cody stories. It is apparent the citizens appreciate and stand behind their sheriff and our outraged at his suspension. Cody and Beth are his biggest fans. It their eyes he can do no wrong.

It would seem that the irresponsible ones who jumped out of the car leaving the three little ones likely to be seriously hurt or killed should be the ones being charged. The mayor is vindictive and spiteful, and i look forward to hearing that he has been deposed! Well written.

I agree with the protesters. The mayor is an idiot who is searching for a way to get rid of the sheriff and, probably, set up his own man as sheriff.
Cody is very loyal to his adoptive father. I hope the mayor's kid isn't in his class at school.

This was a great diversion for Cody. I look forward to a follow-up on this and see the mayor or whatever, booted from office. You did really well with this. A bit out of the blue.

Every once in a while like to be "a bit out of the blue." Hope all is well in your world.

Hello Brett,
I think I must have missed a chapter somewhere along the way. I didn't realize that the sheriff had saved any kids or that there had been a bank robbery. In any event, this was interesting. I hope the sheriff doesn't give up. Politicians are a dime a dozen, good lawmen are priceless. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Tom

Sometimes dislike and fear of someone's influence in the community may cause them to make a wrong decision, but if that's the only reason, then they are stupid, and certainly not fit to hold any public office, Sherrif Daniels is a noble character who cared enough for Cody to adopt him, well done Brett, blessings Roy

I may have missed a previous chapter but catching up now with this demonstration in support of the Sheriff who's been suspended for actually saving the lives of the three children and getting the suspects arrested. Dialogue is achieved excellently and helps build the characters while Cody, as ever, is very vocal and engaged in proceedings. One small edit: invig(o)rate. But an excellent read with plenty to motivate the reader to discover more about the Sheriff's plans. Thanks for sharing, Brett. Debbie

Thank you for sharing this Cody addition with us. I always enjoy reading these. My only suggestion would be, although the dialogue is really good. I would suggest adding a FEW speech or action tags to ensure your reader knows who's talking.
r an overwhelming majority of voters know the job I have down in this town. (done???)
