This is a thought provoking one liner. It uses the artwork and alliteration well to describe the mental after effects of revenge.

Alliteratively masterful in one line! War is a zero-sum game. To not avenge the brutal deaths brought on by the terrorists is unthinkable. To seek out and waken or eradicate Hamas has so many civilian casualties.

Your one-line poem is timely and vital. I especially like the alliteration of "rendering retaliation" and "despair of devastation".
I can understand Israel's mission to free the prisoners, and punish the Hamas terrorists. But the world is watching. They've seen the damage and chaos, the Palestinian deaths (over 10,000 now), and the long walk to safety for many refugees. No belongings! Some just carry a white flag of surrender. What will they do? Their homes have been destroyed. Belongings buried.
If Netanyahu stops the attack, Hamas has won. And the prisoners might be released, or not. They might already be dead. But if he doesn't stop, he is causing many people to hate Jews. Antisemitism is spreading around the world. It's a mess. Everyone blames the Jews. But they should be blaming the terrorists. It was their massacre of 1400 Israelis that started the whole thing. Cowards. Killers. They hide behind Palestinians. Who are they? Are they from Iran? Armageddon is creeping ever closer, I'm afraid.
