When arguments occur at home it leaves tension and anxiety on both sides until there is a coming together and compromise, I enjoyed your post for the contest, love Dolly x

Wow. This one's a stunner! Very vivid and bold and sad and also frightening. Loss of trust (and love) is the worst of the worst. You displayed it perfectly here. Good luck in the contest (and in Real Life, too, is this is autobiographical.) xo

This is a very clear exploration of the impact our words can have on others and the way others' words can impact us. Your metre is regular and your choice of rhymes work well. One question - did you intend to use the word "mind" twice in the opening stanza? I'm assuming you deliberately contrasted "piece of mind" (anger) with "peace of mind" (destroyed by the anger), but thought I would check. Thanks for the share and good luck in the contest.

I think this really creative! you're talking about emotional loss. However,I wonder if it's about the loss of peace between lovers or loss of trust in oneself.

well, if you will pardon my french, get the hell out! Don't wait to be hit. Nothing brave about that.
Of course, if you can't afford to leave, go to a shelter.
I am being way out of line probably, but your written situation made me angry for women who stay with abusive husbands or partners.
If he is treating you that way, he will probably not change, and if you are calling for help in this poem, go to a family member or a friend if you don't want to go to a shelter.

These words are powerful and the words one dreads to hear from an otherwise wonderful relationship. I see this as a cry for help. The line I have lost that calm safety zone says it all without the need for more explanation.
The speaks loud and clear of emotional abuse and how it erodes a love relationship into an abusive and sometimes fighting between the two explodes into a battle of the sexes.

This is a very powerful piece of poetry describing what can happen when a relationship ends and we see a different side to those people. Self -esteem is hard to find once it's lost. Good luck

This is an excellent poem for the challenge! Your rhyming is not forced and it also tells a story story about something lost. Unfortunately readers will relate to this scenario.

Best wishes,

Alex
