Very interesting entry you have. Actually, I have never seen wrinkled tights. Is that even possible, if they fit? A poem about Ballet will surely capture many parents and those who recall the pain of that dance.

well crafted.

Thanks, Lancellot, for the review, all the stars, and the comments.
Now, about those tights. Yes, it is possible to have wrinkled tights, especially if little kids put them on themselves. In that case, they can be wrinkled and twisted. LOL

Ballet class isn't easy, much like anything else in life worth doing. It's good to see your name pop up and see you're still writing. It's always a pleasure. Thanks for sharing.

Just glad to see you back. I was out of town last week and just got back to post my next chapter of Tucker. Glad you didn't post last week and I'd have missed you. Welcome back!

I love this. I would like to send it to my childhood friend with your permission. She is a ballerina and now runs her own ballet school based around inclusivity. Best of luck. Jacqueline

Hi, JT. Yes, of course, send it off to your friend. I think this little poem resonated with many readers because I was just notified that it received an "all-time best" designation. It is admirable of your friend to run a school based on inclusiveness.😊😊
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

What a vivid picture you paint! You used just a few words to summarize what that child looks like she is going through. I once knew a prima ballerina and I never knew anyone who worked harder than her. Your descriptions made my toes hurt! Well done!

I was so lucky to find that picture--it just spoke volumes by itself. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.
I hope your toes recover. LOL

I guess each art form takes a toll in this case. I think it's the little toes stuck down to the end. Your poem speaks to me of someone who might be late for dance class and grabbed the wrong stuff! I see no issues with grammar esthetics, subject matter or spelling. And I wish you best of luck in the contest. Hope you have a great night!

Brings back so many memories of my ballet classes...Miss mademoiselle... wanted to be able to go on toe but that never happened...
Love the photo you chose and the poem is spot on.

This is an excellent Cinquain. The little girl is adorable but she doesn't look happy. It must be those aching toes. This is a good one for the contest. Good luck.

Yes, you are right about the girl's expression--it must be the toes or those twisted tights. LOL

I visualize a young girl in each word of your poem.

My daughter did a few years of dancing school when she was younger, but never ballet.

Best of luck in your contest.
