I feel bad that I have not seen this story before as the writing is so resonant and the sense of nostalgia so rich. You have a rather dry, detached tone that is thoroughly successful and very moving. Well done. X

You have certainly had an exciting life. It is too bad you had to deal with child abuse along the way, though. Your descriptions are well-thought-out and make the story a more interesting read.

What a fantastic continuation chapter, Liz, it was great. To think of all those memories you shared with your mother and your elusive grandfather. Timmy and Teddy too. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n Hugs!!!

***LOL*** I always thought those letters meant lots of love, then I found out what people mean by it now, but I think... sometime it can mean the old meaning...LOL

This is another excellent chapter. I never knew you could use a dousing stick in healing. I can see why you wanted to write in the third person. You experienced a lot of childhood sexual abuse. My heart goes out to you. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

hi Liz, thank you so much for sharing this story with us. I grew up with a lot of games in the barns with other kids, but nothing untoward ever happened. We were just kids fooling around having fun. I don't have a clue what dowsing is. I'm sorry. I enjoyed the read. Ulla:)))

Thank you for you involved review. If you'd like me to describe dowsing for you, I'd be happy to elaborate, if not no need to respond

Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm sure writing it helped therapeutically and I know it will help others with similar backgrounds.

butternuts (I didn't know what they were. I looked them up. I do know what white walnuts are. Now, I'm tracking.)

that I had come to believe that that was all anyone expected of me. (believe that was)

There was a bucket of tar in the corner, Need I say more? (either a period after corner, or a lower case 'n' on 'need')

I always enjoy your stories. I grew around barns and I still like the musty smell of manure. I can't imagine those barn games. My grandpa could dowse for water but I wasn't aware there was also healing involved. There is something a bit mystical there.

Thank you for your involved review. Dowsing is about energy, detecting it & moving it & the rest is clearly a mystery.

My son is a chiropractor and he does energy work on his patients. I works but I don't think even he understands it.

He has dowsing roots, we do not understand it. I has something to do with our high self, our spiritual self. I feel it connects with the energies of the universe. Sadly my friend who is a born again will not let me dowse foe her & she has had a stroke & want to help heal her, but I do not have permission. I may have told you I helped 2 friends with shrinking their tumors to nothingness. I know her heal but she'll have none of it. I will have to leave it to
God fearing believers which I have a different perspective on

I very much enjoyed listening to your story. It's quite fascinating. The things that you did in your youth. Iwas unaware of your dowsing skills. I hope that you will have a wonderful day and keep writing and sharing with us your wonderful work. Patricia.

It sounds like those teens abused you. I am glad you did get therapy when you were thirty.
I am so glad that your grandfather taught you about dowsing.

Question/Suggestion:
as will slowly be refired (what is refired? and what will be refired?)
the one dark corners (corner)

Thank you for your involved review. The convoluted word is supposed to be 'revealed', don't know where those letters came from.

This sounds like a miserable time of your life intermixed with some of the most joyous times of your life. Did you ever try to tell an adult about the abuse? Would you have been believed? I was so thrilled to watch a dowser once. He found water only about 15 feet from where the well driller failed to bring in a well. It was good sweet water, much better than cistern water.

Thank you for your caring review. I did as many victims did, chose to take care of my mother. I didn't want her to be sad. I always thought she was a victim as a child too.
I've been asked if I dowse for water for them. It would be too expense of an error. I'd much rather clear harmful energies for people or send trapped spirits along their way.
