I read a book years ago by Sarah Ban Breathneck in which she talked about how to never desire anything anyone else has ever again: realize that you'd have to have their ENTIRE existence, not just their height or their house or their head of hair, etc. You'd also have to have their stressful job or their nasty mother-in-law or their aching feet. That's what came to mind when I read this beautiful essay of yours: you realize that nothing anyone else has beats what you do with your life partner, and you're not trading.
This is simply beautiful. I loved this read today. Thank you. xo

Aaaawww! Now that's a great way to look at satisfaction. It's great to admire those out there in the world with special skills and talents, but none of us know what life is like for others behind closed doors, and the greatest satisfaction in the world is to be had with the ones who love you the most.
