It must have been so hard for you and Nike as children, Nike especially. I'm glad they became close in later years. Children don't understand, not until they become parents themselves, how hard parenting can be. But having an alcaholic father and grandfather is hard to understand when you are young, it's not that much easier when you grow up! I enjoyed reading this part, Liz, I'll have to go back and read the others. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

I'm enjoying the stories of your early days. I would have envied you for not being an only child like I was. I didn't have anyone to lead me into trouble but I imagine if there had been someone, I would have gone along with it.

Thank you for your involved review. We had it easier to be deviant because we were all the same age.

What a darn continuation chapter, Liz. Nick and Lizzy were great friends until they were not? Meanwhile Mother was locked in the root cellar by choice. This was truly a night into the darkness. Blessings n Hugs!!!

Thank you for sharing this story. This story needs to published so more people can read it.

You may remember I mentioned how violent we close friends were. (maybe - violent our close friends were.)

I don't remember that I ever knew what set Mother off against Nike; (You can omit 'that')

Abuse is learned behavior. (So true and that cycle is a hard one to break.)

It's interesting how memory functions sometimes by shutting down to protect us from things we have witnessed and can't fully comprehend, especially when little. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Those are very dark memories. And it's a miracle that God called you out of that darkness and showed you the light of healing by Him and through good practices you learned along the way to help others heal. It's so good that you had your little brother to love and protect.

eventually everyones (everyone's)

I was telling my brother last night how close we've always been. We have each other and it is a blessing. We are all we have.

So glad you had each other. You both had enough to deal with having those parents!

right. His brain is still is slowly healing from a head injury he got when he was 40. He's 3/4 of a century old now, a fact I keep reminding him of. He's one year younger. This will be covered later in my book.

Liz, this had to be pretty hard and traumatic to write. I can totally relate to some of the things you have written. My childhood was not the best, but I think God, I have made it this far. You used great descriptive words. Thank you for sharing! Blessings and Merry Christmas! Teri

Thank you for your blessed review. I felt it. I'm hoping people will heal from my vulnerability. I did start crying when I read that stuff about my mother & my brother.

You did seem to grow up in a rowdier environment than I did, but my sister got away with splitting my head open with a brick and a big rock. You do have a few things to fix: eventually everyone(')s . . . ( Reprobates)

Your sister could have been included in our van. She could have been in our neighborhood, using chunks of tar. I hope you healed quickly after each assault.
