I love this poem. It rhymes. It has structure. I like that it doesn't preach. It's just a sweet uplifting poem about a man who tried to do good things for people, and ended up getting killed for it. A guy who didn't hobknob with rich folks for clout. He just helped people. I wish people wouldn't bully him more than he's already been bullied.

Indeed, Jesus is the reason for the season and you so eloquently reminded us of that.
Thank you.

This is a lovely poem with all the truth of the real Christmas. I like the almost conversational tone you use in the poem and still make rhymes in all the right places. God bless you and your loved ones throughout this Christmas season and all the New Year.

Your poem is a great reminder of why we are celebrating in this season. The third verse is especially strong in coming to a conclusion for the reason we celebrate. I've missed you on here. Hope all is well with you, and you have a Merry Christmas.

This is a very nice poem about the reason for the season. Decorating a tree is sort of a pagan custom we have adopted but I don't suppose it it wrong and the idea of giving prehaps isn't totally unbibilical since the greatest gift ever given was that of God's son to the world.

Absolutely spot on! I really liked your central theme and you deployed it deftly, with a good solid rhyming scheme and metre. I'm sure there will be many here who will echo your sentiments and I am one of them. Thanks for the share.

Yes, such a nice poem! Too many people forget the true reason for celebrating Christmas. The reason for the season is to celebrate the coming of the savior, and the birth of Jesus Christ. Thanks for bringing this to light :)
