It sounds like you think the vultures are only men, but let me assure you, women have become so aggressive that I've stopped traveling; and especially, to Latin countries. I bought two lots to build two houses on in Belize. Yes, a little, poor, backward country where I could just relax, read, and enjoy the beach when I wanted to. Whew, was I mistaken. It reminded me of those comedy movies where women were hiding behind every bush or hanging from palm trees searching for something other than coconuts. Fun read. Thanks for sharing.

This is a good share you story entry. I'll bet there are a lot of women traveling alone that might be hiding the wedding rings as well. Any time a pretty lady shows up wolfs come out of the woodwork. I glad you are careful becaise traveling alone can be dangerous. I'm also glad you ha a wonderful holiday.

Told with the usual wit and humor in the writing, this was a great post that reflects on the challenges of being a single woman and a target for the affections of loved starved men. Maybe its a comment on how love starved people are these days. It's also a bit of that old familiar line, the grass is always greener on the other side of the road. I've often thought of living in some of the places I have visited, but in the end the fact is that life is pretty much the same struggle with work and the people around you, and the change of scenery doesn't erase that. estory

Being single is not a disease yet some men act like it is. Your trip sounds like a lot of fun and I agree with you with traveling to a safe inclusive resort. I like your last words "a new crazy me". An excellent way to view the oncoming year. I enjoyed reading your story.
