The rhymes are smooth and natural so it adds to the serenity of the theme. The cold silence of winter can be oppressive but it can also feel peaceful. And connecting with another living being can remind us of the life that continues through winter. Best wishes in the contest!

Like the rhyming of this poem. When we glide through the snowy paths of the forest, we forget there's tranquility up ahead. There is nothing more peaceful than the quiet surroundings of a forest.

This says perfectly how I feel walking in the woods whether snow is on the ground or not. I used to have a few acres of woods with a small stream running through it and your lovely posting brought back such wonderful memories. I love the artwork you selected, too!
