This was an extremely novel approach for this site! I find we have a lot in common. It's always good to see a fellow beard! Also, the last three letters of your surname are the first three letters of mine. Holidays are always lonely for me. I lost my true soul mate 1/31/22 due to covid and illness. New Year's Eve was our anniversary and January 17, her birthday. She passed away on January 31. In my portfolio are a couple of poems I dedicated to her and a couple of works where I described our meeting. I hope to read (or hear) much more from you.

    Hi Jim Vec,

Thanks for the review and for sharing your lonliness. I tried to find the poems dedicated to your Beloved. What are the titles?

    Peace,
    Aaron

I feel like your poem is like the back cover summary for your book. It's a marvelous thing that you found your wife that way. Thanks for sharing.
Your prose posts are rather long and you would probably have more reviews if you broke them up into smaller segments, unless of course, it's for a contest requiring 2,000+ words.

Thanks for your insights and for your thoughtful review. I admit that I am long-winded. I just completed a review of 800 words.

This is a fine Western Ballad. The morality is always clear. The evil cowboys bully their women and cheat at their cards. The good guys protect their women and play a clean game. Best of all, they know how to draw fast.

It's fitting to chose to present the pic and text in black and off-white.

Here are the lines that require some expansion:
HE HOLE IN HIS SOUL SOUGHT REVENGE
    FUELED WITH A BROKEN HEART,

The reader has to fill in the details here. Everything does not need to be told.

    Peace and joy,
    Aaron

Wonderful piece! I was surprised by the audio! I didn't realize that was a thing! Great addition!

The entirety of the audio is introspective and beautifully done.

The section chosen was edited smartly, I love the words you chose to share for the contest!

Good luck!!

T.A. Thank you for your insightful review. This is my first attempt to include an audio performance of my narrative. You encourage me to do this again.

This is beautiful. A true testament to love. A man willing to cross the ocean with nothing but hope and the dream of finding true love. The dream of finding one's soul mate that permeates within all of us.

    Dear Reece,
Thank you for your insightful review. I had to find out who this unusual woman was; hence, I needed "to cross the ocean with nothing but hope and the dream of finding true love."
Peace and joy in creative writing,

Well, the video in interesting. I think it's well made and it's seems to be you, but you seem to have forgotten to paste or post in the free verse poetry.

Write a free verse poem about love.

I would be happy to re-review after you add that in.

Thanks, Lancellot, I have made the changes you wisely suggested.

I find that only a fifty of my lines of poetry show up. Any idea why this might be?
