I like this free verse and your philosophical meditation on life, who you are, your conflicting roles and, ultimately, your search for some real meaning to brighten your current path. You take idioms and twist them around so that, in the end, you're no wiser at finding a solution. The essence of the verse is in the mystery of our lives. I hope I haven't gone too far astray. I am only giving you a four on this, because you have not used any punctuation. That makes it really be sensible to the reader. Especially when the reader has to listen to it being read. Punctuation is important. Patricia.
