I love this poem. It rhymes, and I like poems that rhyme. It uses all the words required by the prompt. And it is such a nice reminder to live life to the fullest.

There are some wise truisms here. Your point that we can't get back the past is a good reason for making the best of the present. VER NICELY WRITTEN. Really make me think.

You've done a good job with kind of an awkward combination of required words! You seamlessly fit them into your narrative of your poem.
This line particularly hit me:
"Time sure slips by fast leaving lasting memories behind."
Just yesterday I was singing songs to my seven-month-old granddaughter that I remember singing as a child. Where on earth did all that time go, and so quickly? I remember it like it was very recently. And your line nailed that thought!
Thanks so much for sharing! Julie

I think you have quite cleverly, eloquently and seamlessly incorporated these difficult prompt words into your verse. You have clearly given it a lot of thought and presented a beautiful post. A strong contender! Good luck! Debbie

So impressive. I wondered what type of poem would contain all of those words so fluently. Very creative and a beautiful message. I enjoyed this. I have written a poem with similar subject matter. Mine was a bit more cynical. I like yours much better :).
Best wishes.
