It is a lovely and flowing verse you have written for this contest prompt. The theme of summer roses melts my heart because I love them too and have a special spot in my heart for David Austin roses ~ Heritage is my favorite and a repeat bloomer. Great job Bob this, June!!

This is a wonderful sonnet with great rhymes and metre and skilfully tells the story of summer coming to a close and the preparation of winter. Roses have a tendency to linger and I love their tenacious spirit, a joy to read June, love Dolly x
