Miranda is just taking a break. She will definitely be back. Thank you for this. Gretchen

Oh... okay, I understand putting stories on the shelf for a while. I look forward to it's return.

So, just gonna leave those of us who read her story in a lurch, are you?
Well, suppose we will just have to wait until after her hiatus to find out what happens next.
Sometimes taking a break from a story allows a refreshed examination upon returning to the tale.

Honestly, I felt the story was circling the drain. Lol. I will finish it, I promise. Thanks for the support. Gretchen

I had a hunch about this. I've noticed that whenever I see you with an extra lot of artwork on display on FB, it coincides with some struggles with the book you're working on. And you have TWO books going simultaneously. You're pretty remarkable, you know. An artist in every sense of the word. No one comes even CLOSE to accomplishing all you do, Gretchen. And you're so good about listening to your Little Voice. Miranda's story will keep percolating, and I'll be here eagerly awaiting the brew when it's done!! Be a bulldozer! xoxox

Thanks, Rachelle. My visual art has been twisting my arm a lot lately. I took last year off, because I was stressing about painting. I just played. Did kindergarten art and didn't worry about whether anyone else liked it. Miranda is too good a character to force the story. I know what she's going to do when she does it. But she has no idea what she's going to do. Hell, I may start from scratch. I have no idea. Thanks for call me out when I need it, rave reviews when I deserve it, and for being there. Miranda and I both love you for it. Gretchen

And I love both of you back. xoxo

I read some of your Miranda posts, and though you seemed to chronicle her hectic life, I did wonder if you had a plan or outline mapped out for the character's story, plot, or journey. Was she meant to be heroine, reluctant mother, or amateur detective?
If you didn't write a general outline. Perhaps making one will serve as a guide.

I think Miranda is woman who is playing all those things by ear. That's the best I've got as an answer. She will be back but it'll be later. Thanks for this. Gretchen

Hello Gretchen,
you're very talented, but I imagine it would be difficult to be working on two large projects at the same time. I couldn't do it for sure. I'm sure when the time is right, you'll pick it up again. Thanks for the heads up.
Blessings,
Tom

Oh, for sure Miranda will be back. Thank you for the support and kind words. Working on two at the same time is only hard for me when the story lines or characters are similar. Miranda is a woman in her thirties who is cynical. Heddy a little girl who's basically cut off from the world. She is innocent. But I understand what you are saying. I appreciate your understanding review. Gretchen

I do understand where you are at. It's not exactly writer's block but rather a need to feel you are doing your best for a character you love. A break is necessary. Best wishes for that sudden inspiration that tells you what will thrill Miranda most.

Thank you Carol. It is nothing like writers block, you are exactly right. It's like herding squirrels. Lol. I'll either continue with this one or start fresh. Who knows. It's Miranda's world and I'm just writing what happens. Gretchen

Oh no! I always looked forward to the Miranda stories, so I hope she helps you to move forward with her story very soon, and stops frustrating you. Being strong willed, she will need just the right way to go forward to remain in character. Best wishes for her resolution as soon as you feel you have the right way forward for her.

I love miranda too and I will miss her so don't let her languish too long. I'm enjoying your other story but I understand sometime these characters work their way into a situation they need to sit awile. Thanks for letting us know what to expect.

I understand. Some boogers do not want to be ended. And you feel that anything you try will not be right. We will await your last few chapters. When you write them, let them sit before you post them. To be sure, they will fight going down. Karen
