    Eugene.
I am sorry for the late reply of many thanks! I read this the day you posted it, but never responded. That?s "my bad" as kids would say.

I appreciate your reading this short little diddy and your congrats on the win mean a lot.

    Cheers, my friend,
    John

Oh, this was so much fun to read! I love a story with a happy ending too, and yours is not only happy but witty -- "Suddenly they rode a bridge of laughter instead." I see how this is the winner!

Firstly John... congratulations on your win in the seventy-five word story contest my Brother.

I believe you captured the essence of friendship and comradery of boyhood. The bridge of connection has many levels in common... and with boys... and dare I say it, 'older boys' as well, do love to make known their gassy achievements... hmmmmm, or was it the dog?:))

I could hear the boys laughing... great punchline to cap it all off!

With our thoughts we create...
common ground.

Kindest regards,
James.

Hahahaha!! You have captured the essence of boys: sports and gas. This gave me a good chuckle. Great work, and good luck with it at the polls, Mystery Writer. I have a hunch it will do well. xo

I've read them all, and yours stands out as having a good chance for a win. Friendships are based on many things, even if it is a fart. That's how boys are. Good luck with this contest.

The season of baseball is upon us. When I was reading this, I wondered why the boys didn't invite the boy to play baseball with them even though he could not throw a ball.

Typical boy humour, but it was obviously sufficient to have him included in the group, despite his lack of baseball skills. Very humorous write. Best wishes for the contest.

I loved this little story. I grew up with two brothers and this is a conversation they couldn't easily had. Charming story in only 75 words, A perfect entry for the 75 Word Story contest. Good luck.

Hand-counted seventy-five words, so meets that requirement of the contest.

Boys and baseball go hand-in-hand. And, like most boys, if you can not play baseball you do not fit in with the team.

Joey found a way to belong. He, and his one thing that possibly fit him in with his friends even more than baseball...a fart.

Want boys to laugh? That little stunt does the trick every time.

Your story sounds true to life, something boys would be discussing with each other. It is nice that these boys end up being friends. Good entry for the contest, you tell a tale in few words.
