A very memorable and inspiring message here, Melissa, in your 2-4-2 verse, perfectly adhering to the format. The visual is particularly striking and your simple but powerful words complement it well. Good luck! Debbie

You said a lot in this. It is hard to express yourself in six syllables, but you got your point across. I like your choice of "battered" and then "fearless." He was fearless in rising again, but his actions were for all mankind. Best of luck in the contest. judi

Hi Melissa,
This strong religious 2-4-2 goes to the heart of the truth of the Easter story.
I like the artwork showing both sides of the tale.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

Nicely written. The syllable count is right and the words are meaningful. Christ was beaten almost to death before he was crucified on the cross and yet her rose again transfigured and fearless.

Ciao Sugaray,
Jesus accepted his fate because he loved his celestial Father and he loved mankind.
So he faced the flagellation and died on the cross, an excruciating death.
Just before He was arrested in the garden though, where he was praying, Jesus did ask his Father "Let this cup pass from me".
This was the human part of Jesus that feared the torture, suffering and shame He would have to endure, but in the end, He accepted and sacrificed himself.
I like the artwork that you chose!
