Aw, Melissa, Congratulations. I know exactly what you mean. I have three granddaughters. The middle one will be ten in June. I late May I'm going to Denmark to see them all. What a lovely poem you've written. Ulla xxx

Excellent 5-7-5 Poem about your grandchildren. I belive the heart can stretch and never break, the more love the better. Grandchildren are such a blessing. I have three.

Good syllables count and connection between lines. Lovely presentation.

Congrats on your grandchild's upcoming birth Melissa!

I am a Gemini so it might be coincidental with my late May birthdate. (-;

Maybe you will be writing one someday for your great-grandchild! That would be special if you wrote one for their wedding day !!

Mark

Yes, and so improbable seeing I am 64 :), but a delightful thought and maybe I will write one for them to save for the big day LOL. Thanks so much, Mark!

    Melissa,

I am 78 5/6 so I possibly I will see my four grandchildren, who will be 12,12 (twin girls) 7, and 5 (boys) in April, graduating college or maybe even marrying LOL

One of my previous FanStory posts I actually wrote with one of my granddaughters. They were learning about poetry (Haiku) in school.

    Take care!

Just wait until the next go round, Melissa. We had our first great grandchild a couple of months ago. That was from our oldest of five grandchildren.

Oh wow, Paul. How awesome that you too are adding little ones to your growing family. Thank you for sharing your family with me. I'm so glad we all understand that love stretches to all of them. :)

Hi Melissa,
I can relate. My first granddaughter was born in December and I'm in love although feeling a little nostalgic at the same time.
She's so perfect. I love babies.
What you say about love stretching is so true, BTW. There's always space for some more.
Thanks for sharing the lovely poem and picture.
Take care,
MJ

Hello Maria. Thank you for sharing your sweet story about your grandchild. I am gaga over our first little one and wish I could see her more often. I appreciate your lovely comments and I'll let you know when our other little one gets here ~ probably write a poem :). Hugs!!

I'm so excited for you! I like how you say "my love is stretching." I was so in love with my first grandbaby, I wondered would I be able to love the second as much? And yes! Love stretches!!

Thank you Helen. I am delighted to read your testimonial that our love does stretch and morph into a growing, living thing in our hearts. Can't wait to get my hands on the new little one. Hugs.

This Nanna knows how you feel and a love that stretches is exactly what happens, from the moment we learn that a new grandchild is on its way. Congratulations and blessings all around.

Ahhhh...how can anyone not love this posting? My daughter had my grandson twelve years ago when she was 42 so I will only be blessed with a singleton. This little girl kissing her new sibling is very precious. I am still smiling.

Congratulations on your forthcoming wonderful family event! :-) Lily

Thanks so much Lily. I am delighted to read that you also have a grandchild and understand that love and 'infatuation' that we all share for our young ones. Hugs!

Congratulations to your family. Nannu, of six grandchildren, I can imagine how much joy a newborn grandchild. All of a sudden, grand children's activities enrich our lives, and grandma and nannu must invest time for maximum stretching.
