This is fun and I love the way you write about the many different instruments that are musical as well as profoundly entertaining.
Thanks for showing how it is done.
You gave new meaning to every word with the alphabet poem and I loved reading it thoroughly.

    Hi Barry.
I'm a music lover too. I'll bet you had difficulty writing this poem, but it was well worth it.
Enjoy the rest of the week,

I find this poem very enjoyable to read as it carefully considers its title and subject matter. However, I believe it could be enhanced even further by paying closer attention to the rhythm and beat so that it can truly enrich the musicality it deserves.

Ciao mystery poet, you now have 5 votes.

There were several valid entries but ultimately you won my vote.

I thought your poem was original and creative.

I love all the examples you provided, my all-time favorite is the Italian tenor who loves to serenade. Of course, I was thinking of the great late Pavarotti.

I love the musical poster too.

This is so much better than excellent, it is simply outstanding. Sometimes I see poetry and I wish so much I had composed it. This truly is such an example. You've done the alphabet proud in this 26 line masterpiece. I'm envious of your ability and talent. Thank you for making my day better that it was,

Wow. Just amazing. My musical knowledge is nil and I cannot imagine knowing a whole alphabet of instruments! Poetry fascinates me. Crafting words to fit a theme, keeping it short and simple. You made it look like fun!

I've only read a few so far, but I'm betting it's going to be hard to find one better than this. Each line gave us an instrument along with a little story. I love it, and think you might have a winner with this one.

This Abcedarian poem is great! It looks like it would be challenging to write, but you did it! You fit more instruments than I've ever heard of in there. Great job with this!

A quaver actually denotes the duration of a note in early Renaissance music. We have since replaced quavers and breves with the modern system of whole notes, quarter notes and so on.

There is a particularly well written children's book titled "Z is for Zither", I think, very nicely illustrated, which I highly recommend. It is quite similar to your piece.

A couple small proofreading typos: on Y you have an accidental apostrophe, and Hawaiians should not have an apostrophe, since it is plural and not possessive.

Nicely done,

Harambe (for President)
