This is good! I interpret it as, once you hit rock bottom there's no where else to go but up! When you are in the darkness, you will eventually see the light. I don't think I'm describing it well, but great job with this!

Thanks! That sounds like a good description. That was the kind of vibe I was going for.

I am secure in the knowledge that I have never felt like having maggots eat the blackness of my veins. You wrote in your notes that we all feel the way you do at some time in our lives well, not me, not ever have I felt so depressed and hopeless as you appear to be. But as for your poetry, it spelled out your lament and your wish to die so well that it left me feeling glad that I didn't agree with your notes.

    Jesse,
I appreciate you sharing your perspective. I?m glad you do not have a wish to die.
When reading poetry, keep in mind, it is often not literal. I am using metaphor to express the feeling of wanting a
"Reset"/a change/ fresh start, not death.
The ending of the poem is intended to illustrate, a figurative rebirth.
You misunderstood my author note. I referenced the feeling of wanting a reset
(not to die) that my friend expressed to me.

Art is subjective and I enjoy hearing people?s interpretations. Your perspective is valid, however I recommend reading more carefully and or re-reading before writing feedback.

As you said, my interpretation is valid.
