I thought this was very well written. It's a powerful true story. For me it captures the depth of love. And it also shows sacrifice during challenging circumstances. It's well written. And I love how you ended it.

Thank you for this one as well. It makes telling the story worth while.

How difficult it must have been for being the natural son should win your father's love without an issue, but to love a child who needs unconditional love to ever have any understanding of love is important whether the natural parent or not, they gravitate towards that love. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy. I got as much out of the relationship as he did and am strangely thankful for the opportunity.

Ok. You sent me on a gamut of enotions with this one. Anger, sadness, humor. What I came away with is this. The story is well-told and lovely. The author, whether he is aware of it or not, made a big difference in that baby's life. Children are life's biggest and best investment and the returns are huge. This is an excellent entry for the True Story contest. Very good luck.

Thank you again. He went from a lovable baby to a well adjusted 20 year old, so my work is done.

Very well written. Error-free as near as I can tell.
What a rotten mother, it sounds like to me. I hope she loved the boy. That he's in college offers some degree of hope.
Good luck in the contest.

Whether she loved her son or not is for him to determine. I will say that the magic kit was the only time in 8 years that she thanked me for raising her son. Still, no regrets on my part.
