Wives do the same thing to their husbands with nagging and a Honey Do List...but no clam shell bra.
Very cute poem, and a perfect graphic to go with it. Good luck in the contest, Mystery Writer. xo

This is a well-crafted poem. Your 2-8-2 syllable count is on point for this contest. Your message is clear in this poem. Each line connecting well with the next. Good accentuating picture.

Ciao mystery poet,
I love your poem that evokes the three sirens who with their song enchant sailors.
It s a trap, those who listen to their song in which they promise to share the knowledge of the world past and present, will shipwreck and die.
Ulisse was warned beforehand by Circe , a powerful witch, of the danger and he got his crew to use earplugs made of wax.
He instead preferred to be tied to the main mast and listen because he wanted to experience the ordeal personally. It was a kind personal challenge with himself.
The three sirens lived near Sorrento in the Golf of Naples.
One of my all time favourite subjects at school was mythology.

Your poem does a wonderful job of sharing sirens and what their song does to sailors! Great job with so few words and the limitation of three lines. I enjoyed it!

One of my favorite parts of THE ODYSSEY is when Odysseus is dealing with the Sirens. It is interesting to see how the word has evolved into a description of any alluring woman.
