Thank you for alerting us to this heartbreaking story. I think of my daughter and how I'd feel. I don't think I could murder a man, but I wonder. I used to listen to a conservative talk show host, Bob Grant (now dead) who used to speak about capitol punishment. He'd say that "we put dogs to death when we feel they're mad. If someone serves notice to society that he's a murderer or abuser, we should do the same to him."

You have brought the pain and indignation to life here with your poem and left it brilliant clear how inexcusable the police's role in it all was. THEY allowed this to culminate in the way it did. THEY are equal in the shamelessness of its perpetration.

The case is, of course, very famous in the UK but the documentary (released this month) and the mother's words brought back all the horrors and more. Sadly there's still much to do because the rot runs deep but, like Navalny, we pray their short lives won't be in vain. Thank you so much. Deb xo

It seems to me there are so many heinous crimes like these, with so many men, completely screwed up. I really don't understand why they do it, without a thought of mercy, all sorts of thoughts come to mind.
