I enjoyed your poem. I like how you listed each crazy issue in our world today. Thr poem is clever and well written. I just can't believe the decision of the supreme court to change a gun law. It is pathetic. Great job on the poem

What an eye-opening poem. The way the words are arranged and used is really brilliant. You mention very important things that go on and it is really well-written. Well done!

Hi, teafor2

When you talked about Israel's conditions quite chilling. Are you talking about the destructive genocide in Gaza. Well people in Israel and elsewhere would say Gaza had it coming. No, hamas had It coming not the 15,000 children who died.

For the rest, I totally agree. It is what the Bible predicted for end of times

It is true that only politicians and the military want war. Then, they try to figure out a way to sell it to the people of the country

For Vietnam, it was the communists will overrun the world if we don't prevail in Vietnam

For Afghanistan, it was we don't want another 911. None of the 911 hijackers were from Afghanistan. Most were from Saudi Arabia our big ally. In fact, Bush was having a meeting with the royal family of Saudi Arabia when 911 occurred. The Royal family had to be flown out of the US. Secretly

Your poem had a nice rhyming scheme and flowed well. I really enjoyed reading it.

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Nice. This is snappy and smartly rhymed. I also really like the insult "duck louse" haha (independent of my political stance).

I think you have a typo in the fourth stanza, unless "plolitician" is intentional. Five stars assuming that this gets corrected.

Saki, your discernment is correct about Plotlitician: it's what is called a portmanteau...2 words used to make another word: "Plotter" plus "politician" equal Plotlitician. Your changing of the rating does not matter...Your response is appreciated. teafor2

Ah, you spelled it "plolitician," not "plotlitician." It needs to have the T in it for the portmanteau to be obvious.

(I already left you a five star rating when I wrote my initial review.)

Wow, very powerful. Are you joining my Sylvia Plath dark material poetry club lol. This addresses all the insanity in our world taking over at this time. Thank you for sharing.

Sombul, thanks for weighing in on this. I love Sylvia Plath, if you want to see how much, go through my portfolio: the name of the piece I did at least a hundred years ago is titled, simply "Sylvia Plath: Shero." Thanks for all them stars. teafor2

You have written an excellent rhyming couplet poem about what is happening much too often during these modern days. The chaos pictured in the artwork is definitely an appropriate expression.

This present world is so different from the one I grew up in, and not in a positive way. Children cannot even go out into their own yards alone any more. Terrorists are everywhere, and stealing from stores is allowed in a lot of places. Sigh. At 80 years old, I do admit to dreaming about the good ole days when standards were high, people took care of each other, and both car and porch doors were never locked.

I hope the present messed-up world situation will change, but I have my doubts.

7th line spelled politicians wrong. You are preaching to the choir honey. War has always existed as long as there has been humans. Wa not wars to end? Vote in more women. Karen

I've read the 2nd amendment, it gives members of legalised civilian militia, (which is a civilian army) is what the conditions were when there were muskets, a militia is formed when there is no national armed forces, which fits the war of independence, but like twisting the word of God, this is the same thing. When guns mean more than a child's or human life, there is a level of godlessness, which explains the downhill slide. Well done, blessings Roy

It sounds like there is a lot of chaos in your poem here as these world events are depressing and it is a pity that we can't all get along. The fight over land in the Middle East has been going on for more than 50 years and Russia has always felt second best to the US and wants to be thought of an equal. The fact is that freedom wins over dictatorships and the battle for good and evil continues, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Yes, there is a lot wrong with this country. Yet there is a lot right with this country as well. I try to accentuate the positive and de-energize the negative whenever possible. We put too much on what's wrong with society and not enough on what's going right in society.
Thanks for bringing up the woes of our culture so that we can happily change them for the good.
Jesse
