That is really nice a good entry to the 5-5-5 competition; I was too late to vote. My only concern is the picture far out weighs your wonderful words, I do not think you can crop the picture so perhaps enlarge the words to bring it into balance.

So clear and succinct! A beautiful harbinger, indeed! I love winter, but how can I resist apple blossoms, haha! My mother used to look for signs of spring in the middle of winter, she was cheering spring on, like this poem! Maddy

Thank you very much. The apple blossoms are actually in bloom just outside my flat, which gave me the idea.
