Yes, there is true optimism in a smile, which, of course, is an upside down frown, so if we find ourselves frowning, Stand on our heads, heh, heh, beautifully written, blessings, Roy

This is so much fun, and I thank you for sharing! Your syllables are on point and I wish you luck in the contest. (But I think you might want an apostrophe in the word "someone's" before the judges get their hands on it.) Great fun!

Your poem offers your readers some very good advice. It is true that a smile can go a very long way in perking up someones day.

I wish you good luck in the contest...Bill

Unknown bard, so you already know that it takes more muscles, energy and effort to frown than it does to smile; throw a punch than a hand
shake; curse than a cordial greeting. These 22 syllables express a very logical reason for smiling, and remember it doesn't require much WORK,
and very very little practice:) Good luck with the contest:) teafor2

Ciao ,

When someone yawns , those watching usually start yawning too .. it would be great if a smile was contagious too.

I like the theme and the message .

NB: the contest requires TWO 5-7-7 .

Great topic! But you need two stanzas

Writing Prompt
Write a sedoka poem. A sedoka consists of TWO unrhymed three-line stanzas, each with a syllable count of 5 - 7 - 7.

Keep writing!

I love the sentiment here. Just a heads up, the sedoka has TWO stanzas, not one. I gave four stars but will change that once corrected. Will check back, I'd love to see this expanded on. :)

Edited: I updated my rating. Excellent work!

It is true. Smile and usually you get one back. And yet too often we scowl for no known reason. I would definitely return the smile of those troubadours in your photo. Rod
