Hi SS
This is a well done abecedarian poem for the contest.
This is a alternate universe where food attacks us instead of us attacking food. But it seems we overcome to give high fives. I like all the illustrations.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a wonderful day.
Joan

You did a fantastic job of this alphabet poem. The plantains stand no chance.

Superb grammatically, logically and visually.

Wishing you all the best with the voters. :)

Thanks so much Gloria for the kind words and killer rating. I definitely spent more time than normal on this one. There were a lot of killer entires in the contest including yours and we'll definitely have to do this again before long. 🦍

Not only very creative poetry in a difficult abcedarian motif, but also a set of outstanding images that enhance and reveal the story. Talent galore. Bravo.

Thanks so much Trieschel for the killer compliment and extra star. This was more challenging than the typical piece to put together visually and I appreciate that you noticed : )

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I find this contest title funny; alliteration is the words beginning with the same sound, but this contest is an ABC contest. I didn't know there was a problem between bananas and plantains. I guess my education is lacking. LOL. Good luck with the contest

Haha if you go back all the way to my first post in the banana/plantain saga (at the bottom of each piece I have them linked in series) and check in the comments, you will see how it got started!

When I did the first contest I mixed up ABCs and alliteration, and then I forgot to change the name when I hosted it again this time. Look at all the confusion it has caused over folks thinking there was some profound inner meaning. Even gorillas make mistakes : )

Dearest SimianSavant ~

Ordinarily, these alphabet poems bore me to tears and make me cringe as I am subjected to how contestants have mutilated and misshapen their word choices to fit the parameters of the prompt. The penultimate round peg in a square hole. Absolute torture. Yours is better than the average gorilla. So thank you for that.

Thank you Rachelle! There are several good ones in this contest and two or three of them flow even smoother than mine. Glad you enjoyed. 🦍

That word 'xanthic,' which I've seen quite often (out of desperation) in other formats of this kind, is just perfectly suited for your banana-obsessed posts! And, yes, I can understand why. It's a pretty, presidential 5 a day for your kind! This is an excellent ABC (still don't get the contest title), has great syntax and flows well. I like the way you were on such a roll that you simply couldn't stop! Beautifully presented. Unmistakably yours. Well done and good luck Debbie

Thanks very much Debbie! Yeah I can't remember how many times I have seen "xanthic" misappropriated. I did however misappropriate the name of the contest when I came up with it last year, and then I copied the same name for this second iteration. Next time it will have a new name haha. 🦍

Well, this is so very clever, I had to view the prompt rules to find out what it was I was reading, on doing so I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and as I said very clever with the use of the whole alphabet, very well presented, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

This is positively a pretty a-peeling posting. Perhaps you should ponder penning a powerful periodical presenting yellow banana, primate, and palm tree poetry? Part of it might possibly portray apes pigging out on a particular fruit they are partial to?

Thank you Daylily. I will get right on that. Loved your actual alliteration on my demonized incarnation of this so-called alliteration contest. 🦍
